Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice
The Flavell Lab is a diverse group of scientists from all over the world who share a passion for science.
We strive to build an inclusive environment that welcomes each and every lab member, regardless of their race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability.
We reject discrimination, racism, and bias, which continue to be prevalent in academia and in our broader society. We expect that every lab member will learn from one another, embrace diversity and inclusion in our laboratory, and take measurable actions to fight against discrimination, racism, and bias. This includes educating ourselves on bias, discrimination, and privilege in the workplace; and participating in broader efforts to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and justice that are ongoing in the Picower Institute, Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, and MIT.
